Short-Term Cultural Home-stay Programs:
US-JC’s goal is to help Japanese students develop proficiency in the English language and to gain greater understanding and appreciation of American Culture by experiencing it first-hand through home-stay, well-planned classes and recreational activities.
Program planning and evaluation of US-JC Home-stay Programs is an ongoing process involving all Coordinators, our host-family recruiters and US-JC Supervisory personnel.
Long-Term Study Programs:
This program is mainly for high school students from Japan who want to gain knowledge and improve their English language skills by experiencing American school life first-hand. Students usually stay with host families - or stay in a dormitory. We offer 3-month, 1-semester, 1-year and 1 year+ programs.
The US-JC staff provides full support to students and their families via our individualized administrative processes, specialized in-school experiences, and relationship-assistance with American host families and classmates.
